It is clear that the charismatic and maverick British businessman Sir. Richard Branson knows how to market to the Indian public. Just look at how he has wooed the Indian public. If you recollect in 2005 he took a train ride in a Mumbai local train along with the famous dabbawallahs. That photo op got him lot of mileage. Now, a few days ago he roped in Bollywood folks to help launch his Virgin Mobile phone service in India. Branson acted in what is being dubbed as a live Bollywood flick starring Neha Dhupia in others to promote Virgin Mobile in an already crowded Indian mobile space. Bollywood is the way to go if you want to promote your brand and services as many business folks have realized. Think Pepsi, think Coke, think Santro, think ICICI Bank, think Lenovo, think Motorola..you see the trend right? Bollyood and branding go hand in hand. Now think Branson, Bollywood and Virgin Mobile when you think of mobile phone service in India.
