The interview lineup for this week includes Hakia, RedBook and Accenture and all three guests happen to be accomplished women in their field.
Melek Pulotkonak is COO of Hakia and I met her last week at BlogHer conference, where we talked about their semantic search product. My short video clip interview with Melek did not come through due to a technical glitch at my end.
Stacy Morrison is editor-in-chief of RedBook, a 104 year woman’s magazine. Stacy has helped launch a bunch of well-known magazines in the US and is passionate about magazine publishing. RedBook has successfully incorporated new media tools like blogs. In the audio interview Stacy talks about RedBook, their blogging platform and what is it their audience wants. She also shares with us on how her interest and passion for magazine publishing evolved. We also have a short video clip where Stacy talks about her blog Something About Stacy.
Lin Chase is a senior executive at Accenture. She was the first head of Accenture’s India R&D lab in Bangalore. In part-2 of the interview Lin shares her thoughts on how they recruited people for the R&D lab, what was it like working in India and the cultural underpinnings of working in India. Lin belongs to a growing number of American expats who are spending time in India helped their companies build businesses. Here is the link to Part-1 of the interview if you missed listening to it.
I also have a short video interview with Elisa Camahort Page COO and co-founder of BlogHer. In the short video interview Elisa talks about BlogHer and her role and then we switch to technology since she uses Twitter, FriendFeed and other web 2.0 and social networking tools quite extensively. And I guess Elisa represent a growing trend in Silicon Valley, where folks are abandoning their Unix and Windows machines to embrace Apple’s Mac.
