We have a nice mix of interviews that spans life, people and ideas. Murli Wanchoo is a retired Indian government official, who lives in Silicon Valley and he looks back at India in the early days. Then we have Anusuya Devi (88), who is known as the “Queen of Folk Music” of Andhra Pradesh. Age has not stopped her from pursuing her passionate interest in music and she still travels around with her trusty harmonium and loves to sing.
Under the ideas section that includes entrepreneurs, venture capitalists and business people we have Anil Raj, who heads VNL, an Indo-Swedish company that recently rolled out its low-cost GSM base station for rural markets in South Asia and Africa. Anil is a telecom veteran, who was was the first CEO of Hutch when it first started its operations in Bombay in the early 1990s. Anil then joined Ericsson, where he worked for many years including that of Chief Strategy officer for Sony Ericsson. We have an interesting multi-part interview with Anil, where he talks about VNL, the global mobile revolution and how every year they had to revise their projections at Ericsson because of the way in which mobile telecom was taking off in different parts of the world. Tune in to listen to find out what else Anil has to say on the subject of mobile revolution.
We also have the concluding part of our interview with Diaz Nesamoney of Jivox, where he talks about his journey as an entrepreneur.
Do send us your feedback. It is always nice to hear from you all. And as always, thanks for your continuing support.
