Thanks for checking in. Am slowly making my way back to this always-connected-digital-lifestyle, where we scarf bits and pieces of digital information on a constant basis. The result? An over-load of information and I simply had to take a break. It was fantastic not to be tethered to any digital device and the Internet for a few weeks and instead go for long walks and smell the roses. I also managed to read 4 books that had been languishing on my desk with a “must-read” sticky note stuck on them. Hopefully, I can carve out some time for my digital lifestyle and read a couple of books every month.
I am back now after the break and wanted to point you to a video clip and a podcast interview that you may want to check out. Noor Jehan is a traditional karagam folk dancer from Tamil Nadu, whom I got to meet on my trip to Chennai (Madras) last month. In the video clip Noor Jehan shares how she trained to be a folk dancer. The podcast interview will be of interest to you if you are a movie buff. 3-time Oscar winner Walter Murch is a well-known American film editor and sound engineer and in this podcast interview he shares how technology has changed the way films are edited.
In the next few weeks will have a set of interesting podcast and video interviews and will be sharing updates on Twitter and my Facebook page.
Thanks for your support.
Great, Kamla, will watch all these after I’m out of the Kodak Theater. I’m impressed with how much you got done on vacation!
