Jay PatelJay Patel is an executive director at IMImobile, a wireless value added services company in Hyderabad, India. He is also a director at NewMedia SPARK, a London-based VC firm. Recently IMImobile received $10 million in Series B funding from Pequot Ventures.

In Part-II of our podcast interview Jay talks about IMImobile’s business model and value proposition. In 2005 IMIMobile got its first round of funding (Series A) from NewMedia SPARK, an early stage investor in digital media and technology companies.

IMImobile provides a whole range of VAS including managed services, gateway connectivity, service delivery, content management, messaging platform and gateways, content aggregation and development.

IMImobile’s clients are located in Latin America, Middle East, Africa and South Asia.

IMImobile recently announced that it is setting up a 3G Lab in Mauritius. The wireless company also got the rights to distribute Bamboo, the official melody of the 2006 FIFA World Cup to cell phones in over 15 countries.
