Read-Ink is founded by retired Stanford University Prof. Thomas Binford and Ione Binford in Bangalore. They are working on an online and offline handwriting recognition and OCR line of products.
The Binfords moved from the San Francisco Bay Area to Bangalore, India, four years ago and founded their start-up. They are bootstrapping their company, and expect to have one of their products out by the end of 2006.
Besides, Read-Ink, the couple are incubating two other start-ups: ClickAccounts and Taxila, which is in stealth mode and co-founded by Pankaj Jain.
