In Part-3 of our conversation with Mr. V.K. Murthy we talk about his work with Guru Dutt. Mr. Murthy worked with Guru Dutt for almost 10 years including Pyaasa, Kagaaz Ke Phool, Sahib, Bibi Aur Ghulam and others.
In this episode he discusses how Guru Dutt made his films. Dialogs were often written on the sets by Guru Dutt’s favorite dialog writer Abrar Alvi, and it was not uncommon to reshoot scene. Guru Dutt was a perfectionist and demanded the best out of everybody.
Mr. Murthy also discusses about his signature in all of Guru Dutt’s films: sambrani.
