An unforgettable tenor the gentleman brought to radio.
Dear Kamla,
Thank you so much for this interview series, and for the podcasts. I’ve been enjoying all of these and have been playing them again and again during my breaks at work….! I really remember the childhood days listening to Mr. Ameen Sayani’s golden voice, particularly during Feb-April 1977 on his program on “S.Kumar’s Ka Filmi Muquadama”. I’m still cherishing the golden voice I hear in these interviews.
May your programs live long!!
Sincerely,
Venky
Thanks Anil. Yes, it is so true that Mr. Sayani left such a deep impact on so many millions of people with his beautiful voice.
Venky it is really very encouraging and great to hear that you enjoyed the programs, esp the Ameen Sayani series. It is feedback from listners like you that makes my day!
Thanks all for listening in and sending in your comments.

Hi Kamla
you made golden era of past alive again by your series of podcasts with Mr Ameen Sayani. He is a broadcasting legend in India and has attained iconic status.
It was so interesting to know how he began his career in broadcasting and how Geetmala started and grew and all those very interesting anecdotes that he shared (especially about Kishore Kumar and Roshan).
You carried the whole series with finesse and kudos to you.
Please keep the good work on
regards
Abhishek

Kamla,
I enjoyed the interview with Ameen Sayani very much. It brought back childhood memories of listening to Binaca Geet Mala (or just Geet Mala, per Ameen Sayani!)
Can you post links for Parts 1 and 2. I do not see those links on your site.
Thanks for your wonderful interview.
Rajesh
I will not call this the last episode, for I do hope that there will be many more lively exchanges with this legendary person, Ameen-Sa -ya -ni.
Very informative, very absorbing .
Thank you Kamla for all the 5 episodes, (still not heard Part 1) Like his signature style, when he compered for Binaca Geet Mala once upon a time and kept us listeners rivetted, I for one will never tire listening to this delightful, insightful, collection of conversations with him. You have done a great job.
Regards,
radha
