Stacy MorrisonStacy Morrison is the editor-in-chief of Redbook, a 104-year old woman’s magazine that has 10 million readers. I caught up with Stacy at the BlogHer Conference in San Francisco, where she was on a panel on hybrid media with Lesley Pinckeny, Director of Digital Development of Essence and Lisa Hsia, Senior VP of New Media and Digital at Bravo.

Stacy is very passionate about magazine publishing and has helped launch many magazines like TimeOut New York, Conde Nast Sports For Women and Mirabelle. Ever since she was 7 years old her dream was to work for a magazine. As a child she was transported and transformed to a different world every time she read a magazine. Magazines are perfect little packages of promise and power and friendship and optimism says Stacy.

Tune in to find out what  keeps Stacy passionate and inspired in this changing world of media and technology. What do women want? How did she reposition Redbook? How has Redbookmag.com, their online property embraced technology like blogs and videos? How is Redbook different from other magazines?  How do they chose their celebrity, who are featured on the cover of their magazine? For instance, how did they choose Denise Richards for a recent issue of the magazine?

How are women living their lives today is the  central question that she asks herself everyday. This is the mantra that keeps Stacy inspired, motivated and focused.

Stacy also finds time from her busy schedule to blog on a regular basis. In this video clip she talks about her blog, her book and who is her role model.
