Nandan Nilekani is the co-founder and former head of Infosys, one of India’ s best success stories. Infosys is an Indian IT powerhouse that was founded during India’s famous “License Raj,” phase, which was known for its regulatory hurdles. Thomas Friedman in his book credits Nandan for coining that famous phrase, which became the title of his book: The World Is Flat.
In 2009 Nandan was on a tour of the USA to talk about about his book Imagining India: The Idea of a Renewed Nation. I caught up with him in Silicon Valley to talk about the book, changing India, and entrepreneurship.
