I wish these pictures could play the music we heard at the 25th San Jose Jazz Summer Fest that just concluded yesterday. Bootsy Collins headlined the show on the opening night on August 8, 2014 in the main stage right in front of the Fairmont Hotel. I caught a little bit of Bootsy Collins music before I scrambled over to the Salsa Stage to watch Pacific Mambo Orchestra, the grammy winning group from San Francisco bay area. And that is where I ended by staying most of the evening since this was my first time catching this group in a live show.
The next 2 days were a heady whirlwind of music, music and more music. I flitted around from one stage to another and ended up at the California Theatre to catch some great shows by Hot Jazz of Detroit, San Jose Taiko and others.
I have a couple of video highlights coming up and in the meantime here are a couple of pictures. I was so busy enjoying the music that I did not want to mar the experience by whipping out my iPhone and clicking pictures in a stead manner.
