Award winning actor Timothy Spall has a new film releasing later this year. “Mr. Turner” is directed by British filmmaker Mike Leigh and is about the legendary British artist JMW Turner. Spall won the best actor award at this year’s Cannes Film Festival for essaying the role of Turner.
Spall was in San Francisco recently to talk about the film. Here is a highlight of the interview. We have a longer interview coming up with him about how he prepared for his role in “Mr. Turner,” and working with Leigh. While preparing to record the interview we got talking to Spall about San Francisco, India and Indian food. This was his second trip to San Francisco. He mentioned that he’d love to visit India someday. And naturally,we had to ask him if had a favorite Indian food since Indian cuisine is so popular in Britain.
“Mr.Turner” releases on December 25, 2014 in San Francisco bay area. The film stars Timothy Spall, Dorothy Atkinson, Paul Jesson and Marion Bailey. It is directed by Mike Leigh.
