TieCon’s Annual Conference in Silicon Valley

TiECon

The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE) is a non-profit organization founded in Silicon Valley over 22 years ago. The goal of the organization is to connect, mentor and educate entrepreneurs from the valley and around the world. The organization has local chapters located in various parts of the world.

One of the central events of TiE is their annual conference in Silicon Valley that attracts entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, wannabe entrepreneurs, technologists and others from Silicon Valley and other parts of the world. A few years ago this is where Elon Musk drove in in his brand new Tesla. We got to see and hear about the Tesla from Musk during a fireside chat with Michael Malone.

Disruptive Entrepreneurship: Break-In. Break-Out. Break Away is the theme for this year’s  2-day TiE Conference (May 16-17, 2015)  at the Santa Clara Convention Center. Jack Welch and Suzy Welch are the featured speakers on the opening day and will talk about Real Life MBA and this will be followed by a panel discussion on Data Economy. The conference has special tracks on Internet of Things, Cloud & Security and Data Economy.

Guest speakers featured in the 2 day conference include Infosys CEO Vishal Sikka, Tesla Motors CIO Jay Vijaya, Flipkart’s Punit Soni, Chief Data Scientist, White House Office of Science and Technology Policy DJ Patil, 49ers Team President Parag Marathe and Sacramento Kings owner and Tibco founder Vivek Ranadive.
