Redford shares how he became involved in making this documentary and why it was important to make this film. He shares how the city of Berkeley and the Gilman Center helped provide a safe place for many young people and punk rock musicians.
Green Day helped produce the film. Redford shares the friendly guidelines that he got from Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong at the launch of the film project. These guidelines were don’t get lost in the acrimony, don’t mystify nostalgia and include diverse voices.
