What about all this initial Oscar buzz for Glenn Close for her role in #TheWife? This was a question on my mind when I got an opportunity to interview director Bjorn Runge in 2018 just before the release of the film.  “I don’t dare think those thoughts,” he replied. “What happens next is out of my control,”  he said. This was a few months before the Oscar nominations were announced. 

Close is a strong contender in this year’s Oscar in the best actress category for her role in The Wife. The question is this: Will Close win her first Oscar this year? She has been nominated 6 times. Wonder what an Oscar will mean to Close.
