Steve Paolini is President of Telelumen. We bring you a 2-part series where Paolini shares how he became interested in engineering, the role of his father in nurturing his interests, why he came to Silicon Valley to work for HP and developed an interest in LED and how he became an entrepreneur.

In Part-1 Paolini shares how LED became his single-minded focus for over 30 years. His first job out of college was at Hewlett Packard (HP) where he got his start with a group that worked on LED. He worked at Hewlett Packard  for 20 years followed by a stint at a spin-ff from HP before striking out on his own and becoming an entrepreneur. He also shares how his father helped him discover his love for engineering.
