SAN FRANCISCO DOCUMENTARY FILM FESTIVAL MAY 29 -JUNE 13, 2019

The 18th San Francisco Documentary Film Festival runs for 2 weeks from May 29 to June 13, 2019 at Roxie and Brava Theaters in San Francisco. The films shown at the festival range from comedy, social justice, environment, LGBT, religion, politics, music, dance, pop culture and many more topics. The festival tagline says it all: because truth is often stranger than fiction.

The centerpiece film is The Book of the Seas on June 6 and the closing night film is I Want My TV on June 13. 2019. Both films screen  at the Roxie.

Some of the films screening at the festival include Dons of Disco, Building The American Dream, Breaking Their Silence: Women on the Frontline of the Poaching War, 17 Blocks, Barstow, CA, The Pollinators, Framing John DeLoren and more.

Besides the film screenings the festival has a bunch of parties, special events and filmmakers in attendance.
